Brits are good at many things, like queuing and apologising. We practise this sort of activity on a regular basis, so of course we're good at it.
Something we don't have a lot of experience with however is sunshine, and any temperature above "don't forget to bring a jumper." When the clouds do occasionally part and the sun delivers some much needed heat, we tend to collectively lose control.
The first hint of summer and everyone goes into a spin, removing clothes and bulk buying things you would never normally need. Nobody really asked for multiple packs of buns, sausages, burgers, and condiments, but Brits are contractually obligated to fire up the barbecue as soon as we get consecutive days without rain.
